I remember, years ago, sitting ‘backstage’ at the ‘church’ I used to be a part of.
There was a young lady there by the name of Kelley who spoke a word of grace that I will never forget.
She was talking about a dream that she had where she was outside and a beautiful butterfly had caught her eye.
She was so struck by it’s beauty that she went about trying to catch hold of it until finally she gave up and sat down on the ground.
A moment later, as she sat perfectly still, the butterfly came to her ever so gracefully landing on her leg.
“This..”, she explained, “…is how it is with the Lord.”
This past friday, I was reminded of that beautiful story while I was at work.
It seemed that every time I began to sense my soul stepping out where it ought not be, a butterfly would hover and dance right around the place where I was working, reminding me of Kelley’s dream, reminding me of the simplicity of allowing God’s grace to fall upon me.
Brothers and sisters, I want to encourage you in this very thing.
Allow.
Allow Him to love you.
Allow Him to shower you with his unmerited favor.
Stop chasing it.
Stop working for it.
Allow Him.
Greetings. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to “let go and let God” as the old saying goes. Yet when we do, his perfect peace passes all understanding.
Have a blessed day in Christ.

Amen brother.
Let’s trust Him.
