All in the Family

Little child, Daddy loves you and puts the past aside.

You’re accepted in the beloved, there is no need to hide.

Young apprentice, listen closely and do as I do.

You overcome all by my power, as I gain more ground in you.

Fathers and mothers, what’s to say now? What a lovely glow!

As that seed that once was planted has had time to grow.

Fathers and mothers, train your children in Spirit and Truth.

Raise them up into fullness, beyond their brash youth.

Young strong ones don’t be proud in your insight so true.

Speak gently and kindly and let that truth become you.

Little children, you will see so far beyond your fall.

In the end and the beginning, I Am the All and All.

Parable of the Virus

“The kingdom of God is like a computer virus which, when successfully downloaded, renders the computers systems useless, resulting in genuine face to face conversations,… demanding a deeper level of interaction with the world around you.”

Parabull

Brittian over at Sensual Jesus has inspired me to write some parables.

Since I’m trying to not take this too seriously, I’ve decided to call my first one a parabull, because….well…like I said, I’m not taking it too seriously.

But methinks it does have some meaning.

What does it mean to you?

Once upon a time there were two sincere Christian men who both came upon  a narrow gateway at the same time.

“After you”, says one  politely.

“Please brother, after you”, says the other.

Their kind gestures towards one another continued on and on for days on end until they both fell down dead from exhaustion and starvation, neither one ever entering the narrow gate.

The end.

Live.

IT’s been a little while since my last post so I figure it’s time to take a minute to update the ol’ blog.

I really don’t have a whole lot to say right now other than I have been enjoying life in a very fresh yet very normal way.

I don’t feel that I have any ‘messages’ to share here at the moment…except for maybe this:

Life is for living….not thinking about…and not writing about.

One of the most significant promises that we have made to us in Jesus involves Life. A Life that is more real than what we now know to be real.

I’m not talking afterlife. I’m talking NOWLIFE.

Saints….,

LIVE.

Do not worry about past failures.

Be forgiven and also forgive.

Do not be anxious about the state of the world.

Trust the Lord.

We only get one shot at this thing here.

Make it count.
